The dimple in the thrust plate must be installed at the 12 o'clock position to allow alignment of the thrust plate bolt holes with those in the cylinder head and No. A diamond shaped rubber seal that fits into a groove machined in the rear camshaft thrust plate face, seals the camshaft thrust plate to the cylinder head and No. One of these bolts screws into the cylinder head, while the other bolt screws into the No. The camshaft thrust plate is sealed to the gear case by an O-ring which fits into a groove machined in the outer diameter of the thrust plate, which is retained by three (current) or two (former) bolts. The camshaft drive gear hub rides in a camshaft thrust plate, which is retained by two bolts. The camshaft is indexed to the hub by a dowel. The camshaft drive gear and hub are retained to the end of the camshaft by the camshaft drive gear retaining bolt which goes through the camshaft drive gear and the hub, and is threaded into the end of the camshaft. The camshaft drive gear is keyed and pressed onto a hub located in the thrust plate assembly at the end of the camshaft. Since the camshaft must be timed exactly to the crankshaft, a series of timing marks are stamped or etched on the gear faces of these gears so that they may be installed in correct relationship to each other. The gears are designed so that the camshaft is driven at half crankshaft speed. The adjustable idler gear in turn meshes with the camshaft drive gear, which is mounted on the camshaft drive gear hub. The camshaft idler gear meshes with an adjustable idler gear, which is mounted on a separate hub. To the rear of the bull gear is the camshaft idler gear, which is mounted on the same hub and rotates at the same speed as the bull gear. The gear train for the crankshaft drive consists of a crankshaft timing gear, mounted to the end of the crankshaft, meshing with a bull gear. If that’s not you, however, it’s fine to skip over this entry-level ‘bar for one of Sony’s higher-end models, or look at brands like Vizio and JBL for cheaper all-in-one solutions. This product was designed and manufactured to meet strict quality and safety standards. It’s simply not worth it.įolks who own a Sony TV and don’t need a passthrough HDMI port or proper spatial audio may find that the Sony HT-A3000 delivers exactly what they’re looking for. Admittedly, you can always add onto this system with a separate subwoofer and satellite speakers … but at that point you’re dropping over a grand for a basic 5.1.2 system. It offers easy connectivity options, a wide soundstage and enhanced dialogue, but so do dozens of other soundbars that cost half of what the HT-A3000 does. If its price tag was a couple hundred dollars less, the Sony HT-A3000 would be an easy recommendation - but at close to $700, it doesn’t make a good case for itself. The HT-A3000 uses Sony’s Virtual Surround Engine and S-Force Pro Front Surround technologies to make this happen, and they’re definitely carrying their weight. It filled our medium-size den with precise sound…even if that sound was lacking in the low-end. To end on a positive note, though, we were impressed with the soundstage on the soundbar. The soundbar fails to reach the heights of its older siblings, the HT-A5000 and HT-A7000, when it comes to Dolby Atmos audio, so we’d recommend checking those out if you’re keen for a full Atmos experience. Because it has built-in woofers rather than a discreet sub, the bass response was almost anaemic and the upper trebles that should have sparkled, blended into the mix.Īs for spatial audio, we couldn’t hear much verticality in the mix - that’s because audio has to be played on a 3.1 system rather than a full 5.1.2-channel setup. Without a Bravia TV to test it with, however, we were stuck using the HT-A3000 as a basic soundbar - and we can’t say that the dynamic response of the soundbar really blew us away. If you own a Bravia TV, like the Sony X95K or Sony A80J OLED, you can take advantage of a few other features like Acoustic Center Sync that gets the TV’s speakers to play at the same time as the soundbar to offer an expanded sound range. Even shows that have particularly tough-to-hear audio (*cough* House of the Dragon) see an improvement when played through the soundbar, and it’s a huge step up from a TV’s built-in speakers. While some soundbars bring booming bass and sparkling trebles, the Sony HT-A3000 really focuses on enhancing the mid-range for clearer dialogue. Having plenty of control options is great, though you’ll likely just want to stick to the remote when possible. Should you misplace the remote, the soundbar has touch-capacitive buttons along the top of the main unit or you can use the Sony Music Connect app on your phone. You’ll have a hard time seeing it from far away, and it’s hard to tell when a Dolby Atmos audio signal is being received by the soundbar. That said, while the LED screen is better than nothing - it’s not as helpful as a full graphical interface. Hello Neighbor Missing Pieces is the first in a series of books based on the video game Hello Neighbor. “When only silence greets me, I’m left with the sound of my heart pounding away in my ears, my teeth chattering in violent rhythm as I fight to calm myself.” Our whole family loved every minute of it, and as soon as we finished, everyone insisted we must read every book ever written in this series. This book helped them understand WHY grown-ups love books. And I watched them fall in love with books for the first time, in the way that I love books. Watching my daughter’s eyes get big and say, “Oh my gosh!” I had so much fun reading this out loud to them and watching their faces hang in suspense. This is a totally nailed it psychological thriller for your littles. And you can't read them grown-up books, they may never sleep again, or may be traumatized by smut. I read them with a twinge of annoyance, because somewhere in the back of my mind I feel slighted that I’m not reading something of quality. Maybe I’m a total book snob, because I’ve never enjoyed a middle school book before. It has never crossed my mind to write a review for one of my kids’ books, but this book friends. This pulse-pounding prequel novel to the hit video game Hello Neighbor includes two-color illustrations throughout, to help readers unwind the mystery at the heart of the game. But something about Aaron bothers Nicky-people seem almost afraid of him and his family. Soon the boys are inseparable and using their skills to pull pranks on the townspeople. Nicky befriends the Petersons' son, Aaron, bonding over their talents for tinkering. But that all changes when he and his family move to Raven Brooks and meet their eccentric neighbors, the Petersons. Unravel the mystery in this gripping prequel novel! So talking about the broader market conditions, we did a great event in Austin where you talked about what was happening in the capital markets. So again, as painful as it is, I think it's a really productive time for very focused SaaS companies to build their product. If you look back at other market corrections, you can actually see that these are vintage years where a lot of amazing SaaS companies were established, where founders are being frugal and tenacious and really looking for insights and creating unique companies as opposed to just riding a fundraising wave of A to B to C to D. A lot of the froth has been blown off the market. But I think we're in a really, as painful as the last 24 months have been, or 18 months, we're in a very productive time, I think for SaaS companies. Yeah, the venture firm I was at, one of the very first ASPs called US Center Networking, and it was through my exposure to USI I really came up with the idea of a separate funding vehicle for SaaS companies, which was SaaS Capital and really led the whole movement of lending into SaaS companies, which is now a pretty well-established industry. I have been in the SaaS space before it was called SaaS. What are the things that you are most excited about as you look to where we're going? Glad to be here on the inaugural voyage of Expert Voices.Īll right, Todd, well in the intro we talked about your background. He's an expert in SaaS, financials, valuation, pricing, and monetization, and couldn't be more excited to have Todd join us today to talk about what's happening in the capital markets, how people think about the key metrics for fundraising, and how to pick a lane. Today I'm honored to welcome Todd Gardner, the founder and CEO of SaaS Capital for 12 years, and currently the MD of SaaS Advisors. This is Randy Wootton, I'm the CEO of Maxio, and this is our first episode of SaaS Expert Voices, the podcast that brings experts in SaaS from around the world together to help us understand where we are today and what's happening tomorrow. So you absolutely can't outrun a leaky bucket and you can't get away with 120% NRR if your gross revenue retention is 80 because NRR is just fundamentally less stable than gross revenue retention is usually driven by outlier growth in the top 10% of your customers. One last thing to keep in mind (not just for you zer0zero but to the community at large), these observations are for the ATACR 4-16x42 and the T6Xi 3-18x56 only, please do not use my findings for these specific scopes to make judgments about other ATACR or T6Xi scopes as each has it's own unique optical formula which can affect any of the findings here in either a negative or positive manner.Retention drives future growth more as you get larger. I need to do some further evaluations here to get a better feel for what I'm seeing (or not seeing) and may throw another 56mm scope and a 50mm scope just for comparison. Low light, this is interesting, I expected the 56mm T6Xi to do noticeably better than the 42mm ATACR but that was not the case (to my eyes), yes it was a bit brighter but not as much as I was hoping would be the case. Eyebox is also very forgiving with the T6Xi, moreso than the ATACR for sure, only at the very top magnification of 18x did I feel like the T6Xi was getting a bit tight. Where the T6Xi excels is with FOV, at the same magnification the T6Xi was considerably wider than the ATACR, so with both set at 12x for example, you're going to see a lot more with the T6Xi than you would with the ATACR. Overall the ATACR has the "better" image, hard to quantify but I'd say the T6Xi is not as contrasty which doesn't give it quite the "pop" the ATACR has, it's not terrible and one wouldn't notice if they weren't looking side by side most likely. Depending on eye position I could induce whiteout charateristics with the ATACR from 12-16x whereas I could not induce the same with the T6Xi. Click to expand. The ATACR struggles a bit with flare/halation above 10x whereas the Steiner handles it very well, picking up no noticeable flare, maybe some slight ghosting at 15x depending on eye position with some more pronounced at 18x but not bad by any means, this was done with the sun reflecting directly off the front objective while looking at distant objects.
